About the Role
We are seeking a Construction Accountant to join our rapidly growing team in Gillette, Wyoming. This role is perfect for a highly motivated professional who thrives on challenge, values precision, and is inspired by innovation. You’ll be a key financial partner to our project teams — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight as we bring ambitious ideas to life.
Responsibilities
Manage all accounting operations related to construction projects, including job costing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to track costs, assess performance, and support financial decision-making.
Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
Implement and enhance financial systems that improve accuracy and operational efficiency.
Provide strategic insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Construction Accountant or in a similar project accounting role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction accounting practices, cost tracking, and contract financials.
Skilled in accounting software (experience with ERP or construction-specific systems preferred).
Advanced Excel and analytical abilities.
