JOB TITLE: Production Relief Operator
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: US Beverage Packers (USBP)
FACILITY LOCATION: Keasbey, NJ
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE (Basic purpose of job)
A Production Relief Operator is an established and knowledgeable production operator on the entirety of a lines equipment. The Relief Operator can cover breaks on all machine centers; is an SME of more than 3 pieces of equipment and can trouble shoot and perform change overs on all machine centers. The Relief Operator can be trusted to maintain break scheduling, safety and GMP practices and consistently encourages a learning environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify quality issues at each step of the process and escalate appropriately as needed
- Maintains a well balanced and organized break schedule, ensuring no gaps in production
- Can identify the needs of the line and supports where needed
- Makes sound business decisions to eliminate downtime
- Perform changeover, setup, and startup capability of production equipment.
- Has the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify when additional resources are needed
- Supports CIP processes and assists with high standards and keeping team on task
- Ensures team has the correct tools and resources to complete their jobs by either providing them directly to the team or working with supervision to get the tools needed to complete roles and responsibilities.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Performs a variety of tasks as assigned by the production department
- Provide support to Production Operators
- Provide high standards of production are met.
- All other duties, as required or needed
