JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE (Basic purpose of job)
The Maintenance Mechanic position, under limited supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience and/or ability required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide scheduled and emergency/unscheduled inspections and repairs of production and other miscellaneous equipments.
- Perform preventative maintenance. Follow the preventative maintenance SOPs and forms.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs ie: Filler, packager, palletizer, conveyors..
- Utilize mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair machinery.
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
- Provide general building maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports.
- All other duties, as required or needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- HSD or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a mechanic
- Excellent communication skills
- OSHA knowledge
- Ability to work long hours.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
