We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher for a full-time, on-site role at Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park in Chicago, IL. The teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging mathematics lessons, developing lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum standards, and evaluating student performance to ensure academic growth. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
- A strong foundation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to support effective teaching strategies.
- Certified and Qualified Teacher credentials to meet state or local licensing requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Previous teaching experience in a high school setting is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
