We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Biology Teacher for a full-time, on-site position at Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park in Chicago, IL. The teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering effective biology lessons aligned with state and school standards, inspiring students with engaging, hands-on science instruction. Additional responsibilities include assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and staff to support students’ educational needs and growth.
- Strong foundation in Biology with demonstrated expertise in effectively teaching the subject.
- Proficient in Lesson Planning and utilizing modern teaching techniques to design engaging curriculum plans.
- Illinois teaching certification or qualification to teach at the high school level.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement.
- Previous teaching experience and a passion for education are highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Biology, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
