Mondays: 11:00 AM-07:00 PM
Tuesdays: 08:00 AM-01:00 PM
Wednesdays: 08:30 AM-05:00 PM
Thursday: 11:00 AM-07:00 PM
Fridays: 08:30 AM-01:00 PM
About the Role
We are a busy Family practice in Highland Falls seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant background to join our team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with patient intake.
- Perform routine clinical tasks including phlebotomy/blood draw as directed by the physician.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms per infection control standards.
- Follow up with patients regarding test results and treatment plan instructions.
- Assist front-desk and reception staff with scheduling and patient flow as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Proficient in taking vital signs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Preferred:
- Phlebotomy/blood draw experience.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential preferred but not required
