Job Summary
Hope Lutheran Preschool is a Christ-Centered Preschool seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized attention to students, including those with disabilities and autism.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of preschool students.
- Implement management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment conducive to learning.
- Provide individualized support to students with disabilities, including behavior management strategies tailored for those on the autism spectrum.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student participation and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool aged children in a preschool setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of curriculum development strategies and effective classroom management techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and contributing positively to their development.
- Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education or special education is a plus but not required.
