As a Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your experience in systems engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of aerospace technology.
You will report directly to one of our Next-Gen Avionics Engineering Managers and you'll work out of our north Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Systems or Computer Science degree
- 8 plus years of experience in systems engineering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Advanced Engineering degrees like AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering)
- Experience with IMA IO and IO Scheduling Tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC)
- Familiarity with the NGA System Architecture
- Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tool
- Experience in complex system integration projects
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of change management practices
- Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning
- Attention to detail
