Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Preventative Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of our Hilton-branded hotel. This role is essential to maintaining brand standards, guest comfort, and operational efficiency through routine inspections, preventative maintenance tasks, and timely repairs. The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically skilled, and committed to providing a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with Hilton brand preventative maintenance standards
- Inspect, service, and maintain hotel systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders to identify and correct potential issues before they impact guest satisfaction
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on guest room amenities, appliances, fixtures, doors, furniture, and locks
- Ensure all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with brand and safety requirements
- Complete room preventative maintenance programs to ensure rooms meet Hilton quality assurance expectations
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation within the hotel’s maintenance tracking system
- Communicate maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly to management
- Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and OSHA standards
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a hotel maintenance technician or similar preventative maintenance role preferred
- Working knowledge of hotel systems including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and brand standard compliance in a hotel environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the engineering team
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to required weight limits throughout the shift
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed
