Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment to process linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results.
- Perform dry cleaning procedures for delicate or specialized garments using appropriate solvents and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing machines, folding stations, and storage spaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock; notify management when supplies need replenishment.
- Follow safety protocols to handle chemicals safely and prevent accidents or injuries in the laundry area.
- Assist with special requests from guests or staff for urgent or delicate laundry needs to uphold service standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of laundry equipment operation, including washing machines, dryers, and dry cleaning machines.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all linens and garments are cleaned thoroughly and presented impeccably.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
