Job Description: Hotel Maintenance Technician (No Certification Required)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Hotel Maintenance Technician to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our hotel. The ideal candidate is hands-on, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. No formal certification is required; on-the-job experience and a willingness to learn are valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the hotel.
- Complete preventive maintenance on guest rooms and common areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Inspect hotel equipment and report any major repair needs.
- Maintain the exterior of the property, including walkways, parking areas, and landscaping as needed.
- Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and company policies.
- Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, or hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts when needed.
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- No professional certifications or licenses are required. Training will be provided.
