Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care to individuals across various settings. The ideal candidate will support residents with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote their well-being through personalized care plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Prior experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care is highly valued.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing changes in condition
- Administer medications according to care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately and timely
- Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or hospice care
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs collection, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance
- Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments with patience and empathy
- Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
This role is vital in supporting the health, safety, and independence of our residents while fostering a caring environment that promotes dignity and respect.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
