Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assistive devices
- Observe and report on patient condition, behavior, and safety concerns through patient observation and monitoring
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties as needed
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalized care delivery
- Assist with client transportation
- Document all care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Support clients experiencing dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions through specialized memory care techniques.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home & community care, or long-term care environments.
- Strong communication skills for interacting compassionately with clients.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent caregiving skills focused on client dignity and independence
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to changing needs of clients
