What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Agent position at Holiday Inn Express Bensalem?
Holiday Inn Express Bensalem is looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Agent. Willing to work morning shift 7am-3pm and/or evening shift 3pm to 11pm, as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner recognizing IHG Rewards Club Members and new and returning guests
- Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and amenities, and information on surrounding area and events
- Ensure required identification and payment information is taken from guests at check-in
- Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
- Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
- Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Details:
- Day/Night shift hours. Some weekends and holidays are required.
- Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time at the front desk
- Must be able to bend, squat, stand, sit, and occasionally lift 20-25 pounds.
- Handling objects, products, and computer equipment
- Basic computer skills to operate various property management and reservations systems (Opera, HotelKey), etc.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One-year front desk/guest service experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Opera/Fidelio is preferred but not essential.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment DRUG TEST and BACKGROUND CHECK.
