Holiday Inn Express & Suites is seeking a friendly, reliable, and guest-focused Bartender to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to brand standards and recipes.
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws.
- Reccomend a variety of classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, wine selections, and beer styles.
- Garnish and present drinks beautifully to maintain the hotel's brand standards.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Verify room numbers and guest names for room charge transactions to prevent billing errors.
- Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible alcohol service.
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and service policies.
- Collaborate with front desk and hotel staff to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, current mixology trends, and the hotel's specific beverage program.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous bartending or food & beverage experience.
- Knowledge of basic mixology, cocktails, beer, and wine service.
- ATAP, TIPS and SERVE SAFE certified are a plus!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Understands basic money handling and can make proper change and process credit card transactions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Commitment to excellent guest service.
- Fluent English communication, multi-tasking under pressure, guest-facing hospitality, and responsible alcohol consumption monitoring. [1, 2]
