Position Summary
The Housekeeping Room Inspector ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards. You will inspect the work of room attendants, provide feedback and training, and assist with housekeeping duties as needed. This role is vital in ensuring our guests experience the exceptional level of cleanliness that they expect from Holiday Inn Express & Suites.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness, proper stocking of supplies, and overall presentation.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, and health/safety regulations.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to housekeeping staff to maintain performance and quality standards.
- Communicate maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance department to resolve them promptly.
- Report occupancy status to management and assist with room assignment coordination.
- Assist with housekeeping duties, including room cleaning, when necessary.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and assist with inventory control.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Supervisory or inspector experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
