Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, staging, and decor according to event specifications
• Ensure all equipment such as audio-visual gear, lighting, and catering supplies are correctly positioned and functioning properly
• Collaborate with catering and hospitality teams to facilitate smooth food and beverage service during events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the setup area before, during, and after events
• Support guest services by ensuring the venue is welcoming, safe, and ready for attendees
• Handle basic food handling tasks when necessary, including setting up buffet stations or serving areas
• Follow safety protocols related to food safety, food handling, and equipment operation to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Knowledge of catering setup, banquet procedures, or fine dining service is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and moving quickly between tasks
• Basic math skills for measuring or counting supplies accurately
• Strong guest relations skills with a friendly attitude towards clients and attendees
• Familiarity with food safety standards, beverage service, or POS systems is advantageous
• Previous experience in restaurant work, bartending, hotel operations or coffee service can be beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
