At Ho‘ōla Nā Pua, the Bromley Family Pearl Haven Campus is a specialized residential treatment center serving girls who have experienced severe trauma and exploitation.
Our Coach Counselors (Youth Care Workers) are the consistent presence in each day — helping create structure, safety, and connection in the moments that build trust over time.
What You’ll Do
As a Coach Counselor, you will provide direct, hands-on support and supervision throughout the day — helping youth navigate routines, relationships, and their healing process.
This includes:
· Creating a safe, structured, and supportive daily environment
· Supervising and engaging with youth throughout all activities
· Monitoring, documenting, and responding to behaviors and emotional needs
· Supporting school routines, recreation, meals, and transitions
· Participating in educational, social, athletic, and therapeutic activities
· Collaborating with clinical and program staff to support individual treatment goals
· Using trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques

What This Role Requires
· Emotional resilience and strong self-regulation
· Ability to work long day shifts (7am–8pm)
· Clear communication and consistent documentation
· Willingness to learn and apply trauma-informed care practices
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Experience working with youth, behavioral health, or residential settings preferred
· Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Schedule
We currently have two day shift options:
· Sunday–Wednesday (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Wednesdays 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
· Wednesday–Saturday (Wednesday 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Thursday–Saturday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Compensation & Benefits
· Starting pay: $23/hour (includes guaranteed overtime)
· $1,000 sign-on bonus
· Medical insurance eligible the 1st of the month following hire
· Full benefits package available after 90 days
· 401(k) with up to 6% match after 1 year
· Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues immediately
