Overview
HMP Global is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Manager, Events Project Delivery to manage the project plans and workflows that drive successful delivery of live, virtual, and hybrid events across our portfolio. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to manage timelines, drive project workflows, and ensure high-quality event delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment working across teams including Sales, Marketing, Meetings, Education, Editorial, Creative, and Production. This position is best suited for a project management professional with 3–5 years of experience in events, conferences, marketing operations, or related project delivery environments.
The project manager applies established frameworks set by the Director, Events Project Delivery in conjunction with the Project Management Office (PMO), to coordinate internal teams, assign and track deliverable timelines, and move work through defined workflows – driving execution, accountability, and process consistency across the events portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Event Coordination
- Lead end-to-end execution of multiple in-person, virtual, and hybrid events simultaneously, applying established project templates and workflows.
- Own and drive project timelines, schedules, deliverables, and task tracking to ensure deadlines are met.
- Lead cross-functional workflows between internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Meetings, Education, Editorial, Creative, and Production.
- Proactively manage project progress and escalate risks, delays, or changes to stakeholders.
Project Management & Process Support
- Utilize Hive project management software to manage and govern project plans, status updates, and team accountability.
- Apply established project templates, workflows, and SOPs while proactively raising opportunities for improvement to leadership.
- Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives aligned with PMO priorities focused on increasing efficiency, consistency, and communication across event teams.
- Ensure project documentation and reporting are accurate and up to date.
- Leverage AI tools – including Claude, ChatGBT, Copilot, and similar platforms – to increase efficiency across project workflows, content development, reporting, and communications; surface relevant AI use cases to the broader team.
Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned event projects.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders through clear, consistent communication on priorities and deliverables.
- Cultivate strong working relationships across departments to support successful project execution.
- Lead regular project status meetings, leveraging Hive dashboards, and reporting tools to provide consistent, timely updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Operational Support
- Manage and report on project, timelines, and event reporting metrics.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions to improve execution and team collaboration.
- Support special projects and process enhancement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of project management or event delivery experience, including conference or large-scale event operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience using project management platforms such as Hive, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/SharePoint.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity and general use of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.
- PMP certification or formal PM training is preferred but not required.
- Experience in healthcare, events, media, conferences, or agency environments is a plus (preferred).
