Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line analysis and response to incident and service request tickets submitted by internal business users
- Support and administer client/desktop systems, applications, and local infrastructure components, escalating complex issues as needed
- Assist with system inventories and documentation for client/desktop systems, applications, and local infrastructure
- Create and maintain system images for client/desktop systems and support deployment activities
- Handle hardware and software requests and orders generated from client requests or scheduled cycles
- Perform routine infrastructure server backup tasks and coordinate off-site backups
- Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis, as required
- Must be within a reasonable daily commuting distance of Verona, VA
- At least 2 years of professional experience in IT support roles
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field, or applicable IT certification, or clearly equivalent hands-on IT support experience
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows client/desktop systems, applications, and local infrastructure components
- Experience providing first- or second-level IT support for internal business users using a ticketing or service request system
- Experience with basic desktop system administration tools and processes, including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience creating and maintaining Windows desktop system images and using deployment/imaging tools
- Experience performing routine server backup tasks and coordinating off-site backups in a corporate environment
- Previous experience in customer support, computer operations, or system administration roles within an IT environment
- Industry-recognized IT support certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft desktop/support certifications
