Myticas Consulting is seeking a High-Speed Analog EDA/CAD Engineer to support a leading high-speed ASIC design team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you’ll be at the core of advanced SiGe and CMOS research & development, building and maintaining the custom analog/mixed-signal IC design environment that enables next-generation 10–40 Gb/s wireline and broadband solutions.
You will own the full custom IC EDA flow: installing and customizing foundry PDKs, setting up and maintaining Cadence-based analog/mixed-signal design flows, supporting layout, and driving tapeout. You will own the full custom IC EDA flow: installing and customizing foundry PDKs, setting up and maintaining Cadence-based analog/mixed-signal design flows, supporting layout, and driving tapeout. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with analog designers, layout engineers, and foundry partners, while leveraging your SKILL coding and UNIX/Linux expertise to automate and optimize flows.
Responsibilities
- Install, customize, and support external vendor PDKs for SiGe and CMOS processes
- Install, configure, and support custom IC and RF CAD environments for high-speed (10–40 Gb/s) broadband mixed-signal ICs
- Develop, document, and maintain high-speed analog/mixed-signal IC design standards, CAD tools, and design flows
- Support analog/mixed-signal design teams with front-end and back-end EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso, ADE/Spectre, etc.)
- Execute and support layout-related tasks, including archives and tapeout sign-off processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDA/CAD, PDK, and flow issues quickly in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Sunnyvale, California, United States, and work on-site
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a high-speed analog and mixed-signal IC CAD/EDA engineer (or closely related role)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong hands-on experience configuring, documenting, and maintaining high-speed analog IC design flows using Cadence Virtuoso (including Spectre/ADE) or equivalent custom IC tools
- Strong SKILL programming skills plus strong UNIX/Linux knowledge, including installing and customizing EDA tools and PDKs for CMOS and SiGe/bipolar processes
- Experience with Mentor Calibre for DRC/LVS physical verification, including rule-deck authoring or modification
- Experience with FlexLM license management and general EDA license administration
- Experience with Ocean scripting and advanced modeling/simulation in the Cadence environment
- Experience with Perforce or similar version-control systems for IC design data management
- Understanding of advanced high-speed analog/mixed-signal layout concepts and general digital physical design flows (RTL, place & route, DRC/LVS)
Salary : $70 - $100
