About The Role
Myticas Consulting is seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager (Metals) for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading engineering and industrial services company supporting complex metals and heavy manufacturing facilities.
You will be the primary point of contact for assigned projects, leading them from development through completion. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex industrial projects, ensuring profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. You’ll provide leadership, organization, and strategic direction to cross-functional project teams while building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between the client, internal team members, and external partners for assigned industrial projects
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Coordinate cross-discipline collaboration to ensure deliverables align with project goals and client expectations
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget; issue and manage change authorizations and contract modifications as needed
- Lead project financial management, including pricing, invoicing, and cash flow oversight to achieve profitability targets
- Prepare, review, and manage project documentation such as scope statements, cost estimates, schedules, and client communications
- Negotiate project contracts and proposals in line with company objectives and commercial guidelines
- Track and report project performance metrics, including cost, schedule, and quality indicators, and implement corrective actions when required
- Implement cost-effective and innovative design and execution strategies to enhance project efficiency and safety
- Provide guidance and leadership to project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Based within commuting distance of Merrillville, Indiana, or willing to relocate to the area; able to work on-site 3 days per week in a hybrid model
- At least 5 years of project management experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams using A/E, AEPCM, or Design-Build delivery models
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and commonly used project management software tools
- PMP certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Project management experience in metals-focused or steel-related industrial projects
- Experience with safety regulations, contract administration, and risk management for industrial facilities
- Demonstrated client-facing responsibility leading cross-functional project teams and managing key accounts
