We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Site Manager to support a major power generation construction project in Tracy, Minnesota. This role will serve as the on-site quality expert, ensuring construction activities meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee QA/QC activities on a large-scale power generation construction project.
- Review and approve quality documentation, inspection plans, procedures, and test records.
- Conduct field audits and site inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor welding, piping fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
- Witness hydrostatic and pressure testing.
- Review turnover and closeout documentation to ensure quality records are complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with construction teams, inspectors, contractors, and vendors to resolve quality issues.
- Provide technical guidance related to codes, standards, and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of QA/QC experience supporting industrial, utility, power generation, or large construction projects.
- Experience with:
- Welding inspection and quality oversight
- Piping fabrication and installation
- Hydrotesting and pressure testing
- Construction quality audits and surveillance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ASNT VT2 certification
- Experience with API and/or ACI standards
- Experience working with EPC contractors on large industrial or energy projects
- Previous owner’s representative or quality engineering experience
- Combustion turbine project experience
