The Opportunity
This role is with a large, multi-site healthcare services organization undergoing continued growth and operational evolution. The business delivers care across a diverse set of service lines and operates within a complex, physician-centric environment, balancing both fee-for-service and value-based care models.
The Vice President of Operations will serve as a senior leader responsible for a significant portion of the organization’s operating footprint, overseeing multiple service lines and a P&L exceeding $150M. This individual will report directly to executive leadership and play a critical role in driving performance, standardization, and scalable growth across the platform.
This role will have responsibility for a core portion of the organization’s Midwest footprint, partnering closely with leadership to support continued expansion and operational consistency across markets.

Role Overview
The Vice President will lead operations across a broad portfolio of clinical services, partnering closely with physician leadership, functional executives, and frontline teams to improve access, efficiency, financial performance, and patient outcomes.
This role requires a leader who can operate both strategically and tactically—setting direction while also ensuring disciplined execution across a multi-site environment. The VP will be expected to drive alignment across service lines, elevate operational consistency, and build infrastructure to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Performance
- Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day operations across multiple service lines within a large, multi-site healthcare organization.
- Drive performance against key metrics, including access, throughput, patient experience, and financial outcomes.
- Establish structured operating cadences, reporting mechanisms, and accountability frameworks to ensure consistent execution.
P&L Ownership & Financial Management
- Maintain full accountability for a $150M P&L, including revenue growth, cost control, and margin improvement.
- Partner closely with finance to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance improvement plans.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize resource allocation across the organization.
Physician & Clinical Partnership
- Collaborate closely with physician leadership to align operational priorities with clinical objectives.
- Support service line growth, provider engagement, and practice optimization initiatives.
- Build strong relationships and credibility with both clinical and administrative stakeholders.
Strategic Execution & Transformation
- Lead high-impact initiatives, including service line expansion, operational redesign, and performance improvement programs.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Drive change management across a complex, multi-site organization.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operational leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build organizational capabilities to support scale, including talent development and succession planning.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably within multi-site provider organizations.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale operations with significant P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and leading complex initiatives.
- Experience working closely with physicians and clinical leaders in ambulatory or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with both fee-for-service and value-based care models.
- Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed, fast-paced environments.
