Vice President, Controller/Finance
We are partnering with a high-growth, multi-site manufacturing organization seeking a VP, Finance to join its leadership team. This role will help scale the finance function by strengthening reporting, improving processes, and driving data-informed decision-making across operations.
The VP will partner closely with the CFO and executive team, balancing hands-on accounting leadership with strategic insight. This individual will play a key role in supporting growth, enhancing financial visibility, and building scalable systems in a dynamic environment.
Work environment: Onsite 4-5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Own the end-to-end financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee cost accounting and inventory management, including standard costing, variance analysis, and production cost tracking.
- Partner closely with operations to evaluate business performance, identify key cost drivers, and drive margin enhancement initiatives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting processes to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational strategy.
- Manage cash flow and working capital, reinforcing strong financial discipline and liquidity management.
- Enhance financial reporting through the development of dashboards and streamlined reporting packages for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Strengthen internal controls while continuously improving accounting and operational processes.
- Assess and optimize financial systems to support scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of financial data.
- Support M&A integration activities, as well as audit, tax, and lender reporting requirements.
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and promote best practices across the organization.
Experience
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and multi-site operations.
- Experience in high-growth and/or private equity–backed organizations is a strong plus.
Education / Certifications / Skills
- CPA designation preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing finance principles.
- Proven ability to partner with operations and translate financial data into actionable business insights.
