A growing public accounting firm is seeking an Auditor to join its audit and assurance team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of audit engagements across a diverse real estate client portfolio while working closely with leadership and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements as the in-charge auditor across clients of varying size, industry, and complexity
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all phases of audit engagements to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Oversee engagement timelines, deliverables, and workflow to meet deadlines and client expectations
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP requirements
- Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with professional standards
- Evaluate internal controls, financial reporting processes, and risk areas during engagements
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and escalate key findings to leadership when necessary
- Maintain strong working relationships with client personnel throughout the engagement process
- Lead client meetings and present audit findings with confidence and professionalism
- Manage multiple concurrent engagements while balancing competing priorities and deadlines
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure quality control and engagement efficiency
- Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including GAAS requirements
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
- CPA designation or active CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of public accounting audit experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- Experience leading audits and managing engagements from planning through completion
- Strong financial statement preparation and review experience
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with clients
- Confident presentation skills with experience leading client-facing meetings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
