Location: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite / 2 days remote)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on visionary, strategic, and execution-oriented Director, Creative & Communications to lead branding, creative development, and communications for a multi-brand portfolio during a pivotal growth phase that includes the launch of a new brand.


This high-visibility role sits at an inflection point for the organization. You will be instrumental in successfully launching and positioning the new brand while managing and differentiating the broader portfolio to drive excitement, avoid overlap, and deliver measurable business impact. You will also lead a cultural shift within the creative and communications function—motivating and energizing a team to move from comfort to higher performance and innovation.


As a key member of the marketing leadership team, you will own end-to-end brand strategy, content creation, internal and external communications, and integrated campaigns. The role requires a strong balance of high-level creative vision with hands-on execution, deep expertise across both B2B and B2C marketing, and the ability to leverage both in-house resources and external agency partners effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Creative Strategy

  • Lead the launch of a new brand while managing and differentiating a multi-brand portfolio, ensuring clear positioning and preventing cannibalization.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand architecture, creative strategies, and messaging frameworks that elevate the brands through lifestyle, performance, and emotional storytelling.
  • Direct the creative process from concept to execution across digital, social, print, video, experiential, and merchandising/point-of-purchase platforms.
  • Review, elevate, and approve major creative deliverables while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Marketing Communications & Content

  • Oversee all internal and external communications, including public relations, media relations, press releases, crisis communications, newsletters, and executive visibility initiatives.
  • Build and execute a modern, digital-first content and marketing strategy (social, SEO/SEM, paid channels, email, video, etc.) while effectively balancing digital and traditional approaches.
  • Strategize and deliver high-impact integrated advertising campaigns that drive measurable results across B2B (dealer, wholesale, retail) and growing B2C audiences.

Leadership, Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Build, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of approximately 10 creative and communications professionals through a cultural shift focused on innovation, accountability, and performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, sales, operations, and executive leadership to align creative output with strategic business priorities.
  • Manage an eight-figure departmental budget, vendor/agency relationships, production schedules, and resources with strong financial discipline and ROI focus.

Performance & Innovation

  • Establish clear KPIs and use data/analytics to measure and optimize campaign performance, content effectiveness, and overall business impact (engagement, demand, sales).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on brand messaging, public relations, and reputation management.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for innovation, operational efficiency, and breakthrough creative that generates excitement in the category.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in corporate marketing, creative, or communications roles with significant cross-functional and vendor interaction.
  • Proven success launching new brands and managing complex multi-brand portfolios with measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cultural and organizational change while building team motivation and high performance.
  • Strong digital-first marketing expertise (paid media, social strategy, SEO/SEM, content optimization, emerging tools) combined with balanced traditional marketing knowledge.
  • Balanced B2B and B2C marketing experience, with the ability to energize both trade audiences and end consumers.
  • Hands-on creative leadership style—able to roll up sleeves when needed while empowering the team.
  • Experience managing large budgets with a data-driven, ROI-focused approach.
  • Business Management degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Background in premium performance products, consumer durables, or categories where compelling storytelling is required to generate excitement for the brand.
  • Experience effectively leveraging both in-house creative teams and external agencies.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

Hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite and two days remote.

Competitive total compensation package (base bonus) in the range of $175,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience.
