Location: Lansing, MI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Monday & Tuesday onsite from Day 1

Employment Type: W2 or 1099

W2 Rate: $67/hour

Local Requirement: Candidates must currently reside within approximately 90 miles of Lansing, MI OR willing to relocate.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Analyst with strong Salesforce expertise to support complex enterprise technology and modernization initiatives.

This is a senior-level role for someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, Agile delivery, and Salesforce-focused solution discussions while working closely with developers, architects, vendors, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive Business Analysis experience combined with a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and Salesforce development ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Lead business and technical requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation.
• Translate business needs into detailed Salesforce-ready user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, business rules, and functional specifications.
• Support Salesforce solutions involving:
• Salesforce Administration
• Apex
• Flows
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Aura Components
• Salesforce Communities / Digital Experiences
• Conga Composer
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers, Solution Architects, and technical teams on solution and architecture decisions.
• Review Salesforce integrations involving REST APIs, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure services, microservices, and legacy systems.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Manage requirements, backlogs, releases, and defects using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Analyze existing business processes and lead process improvement/reengineering initiatives.
• Develop process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and business rules.
• Track project risks, dependencies, defects, and impacts.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
• Support security, compliance, QA, and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Assist with security documentation, including SSPs, risk assessments, and POA&Ms.
• Support development of SOWs, RFPs, procurement documentation, cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and TCO assessments.
• Establish Business Analysis standards and mentor other analysts as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Extensive experience working with Salesforce in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Admin, Apex, Flows, LWC, Aura, Communities/Digital Experiences, and Conga Composer.
• Strong requirements management and business process analysis experience.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, workflows, and process documentation.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience with REST APIs and enterprise system integrations.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, Java, .NET, and JavaScript.
• Experience supporting SOWs, RFPs, and procurement documentation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Experience with enterprise Salesforce integrations.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53 or other security/compliance frameworks.
• Experience preparing SSPs, POA&Ms, and risk assessments.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Experience mentoring or leading Business Analysts.
• Government or public-sector experience.
• Military/veteran background is a plus.

Important Location & Schedule Requirement

This is a hybrid position with mandatory onsite work every Monday and Tuesday from Day 1. There will be no delay or fully remote option for the initial period.

Candidates must currently live within approximately 90 miles of Lansing, MI and be comfortable commuting onsite twice per week.

Compensation & Engagement

• W2: $67/hour
• 1099: Available
