Role Overview
As a User Support Specialist, you will provide POSTMAN software familiarization and discovery tradecraft to enable Intelligence Community (IC) users to search for and retrieve relevant data supporting intelligence analysis and operations.
This position is a great fit for a current or former intelligence analyst or intelligence instructor who enjoys helping others, developing tradecraft, solving complex problems, and working directly with customers.
You will collaborate with data scientists, technologists, program leadership, customer staff, and IC users to understand requirements, apply emerging technologies, and develop outcome-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Become a POSTMAN power user to support the discovery of critical intelligence insights.
- Collaborate with POSTMAN team members, customer staff, and IC users to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise on platform use and discovery tradecraft through in-person and virtual customer engagement.
- Build professional relationships that enable the use of technology and tradecraft to discover, retrieve, and incorporate relevant data into finished intelligence products.
- Identify opportunities to increase user adoption of POSTMAN and relevant data.
- Create POSTMAN training and familiarization materials to support users.
- Document and communicate user requirements to POSTMAN development teams.
- Collect and analyze metrics to improve user engagement and data discovery.
- Work collaboratively with data scientists, technologists, and program leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience working with or as an all-source intelligence analyst.
- Additional directly related experience as a military intelligence analyst may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with Intelligence Community and/or Law Enforcement agencies.
- Experience creating user guides and training end users on software platforms.
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in supporting real-world national security missions.
- Ability to work directly with teammates and customers to understand requirements and develop solutions.
- Self-motivated, creative, and organized.
- Ability to complete tasks on time with limited supervision.
- Strong professional judgment and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing technical training for IC tools or technologies.
- Experience with Elasticsearch/Kibana or data visualization tools such as Tableau, ArcGIS, or Analyst’s Notebook.
- Data analytics experience.
- Experience engaging with Senior Executive Service (SES) civilians and equivalent military ranks.
- Experience working on Russia, China, Iran, or North Korea issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
