Our client is looking for fun and energetic full-time Assistant Early Education Teacher to join their premier preschool in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-weeks to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training.
- These are Direct Hire positions with the school
- Full-and part-time positions available; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Open Positions
- Assistant Toddler Teacher: working with children 12- to 24-months-old; the shift for this position is 9:00am-6:00pm
- Part-time Support Staff/Floaters: Monday through Friday; 7:00am-2:00pm or 3:00pm-6:00pm (the pay rate for this position is $16.36-$20.21/hour)
Salary
$16.36 - $20.21/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- REQUIRED Education: HS Diploma or GED
- REQUIRED Experience: At least one year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
