Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance initiatives. This position is heavily focused on month-end close, SEC reporting, technical accounting research, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will collaborate cross-functionally with finance, external auditors, and business stakeholders to deliver accurate financial statements, support public company reporting obligations, and assist with the evaluation and implementation of complex accounting standards. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a strong foundation in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience, who thrives in a fast-paced and highly analytical environment.

Base Salary: $110k - $140k
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures.
- Prepare and maintain financial statement footnotes and supporting documentation.
- Research and analyze technical accounting matters, including the application of new accounting pronouncements and complex transactions.
- Draft accounting memoranda and position papers to support accounting conclusions.
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
- Support the preparation of external financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with internal control compliance and documentation efforts, including SOX-related activities.
- Perform financial statement analysis and investigate significant fluctuations and variances.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate accounting implications of business initiatives, contracts, and transactions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting and reporting functions.
- Support special projects, acquisitions, and other ad hoc accounting and finance initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Active CPA license required.
- 3 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience preparing or supporting SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
- Exposure to technical accounting research and accounting policy analysis.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document accounting conclusions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a publicly traded company environment is a plus.
