Role Overview
The Manufacturing Associate supports furniture production through precise assembly, quality inspection, equipment operation, packaging, and material handling. This role contributes to safe, efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining product quality, accurate production records, and an organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture using appropriate techniques, tools, and precision craftsmanship to meet quality standards.
- Perform detailed inspections, repairs, and refinements to identify and correct product defects.
- Operate machinery, specialized equipment, and hand tools while following established safety and operating procedures.
- Record production information accurately using digital scanners, tracking systems, and handwritten documentation.
- Package and prepare finished products carefully for delivery while maintaining product quality.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, including tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support equipment reliability through proactive maintenance and clear communication regarding equipment issues.
- Participate in training, team meetings, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining reliable attendance and strong teamwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to frequently transport loads of up to 100 pounds and occasionally manipulate loads of up to 250 pounds.
- Comfortable operating machinery and hand tools with precision while following standard safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document production information through digital and manual methods.
- Ability to identify product defects and take initiative to perform appropriate repairs or refinements.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with strong communication and collaboration skills.
