Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our client seeking a Maintenance Technician to support portable plant operations by performing mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and preventive maintenance across multiple project locations. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs, electrical diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on portable plant equipment.
- Travel across regional project locations to support scheduled maintenance and emergency equipment repairs.
- Maintain and repair machinery associated with central wet drum and dry transit plant systems.
- Perform maintenance activities in accordance with established workplace safety procedures.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, and rigging safety requirements.
- Inspect and maintain aggregate handling systems and conveyor equipment to support efficient plant operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform maintenance to maximize equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas during maintenance activities.
- Complete inspection reports, maintenance records, parts usage documentation, and work orders accurately.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and site leadership to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to three years of specialized technical training, apprenticeship, or manufacturer training is preferred.
- Three to four years of experience in mechanical repair, installation, or industrial plant maintenance.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience using shop equipment including welding and machining equipment.
- Ability to travel between project locations as required.
- Where tight-fitting respirators are required, employees must be able to achieve an effective respirator seal in accordance with applicable occupational safety requirements.
