Responsibilities...
You will manage the end-to-end technical lifecycle of major programs, ensuring all development activities align with contract specifications and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Program & Contract Oversight: Manage the technical aspects of contracts, ensuring the design, development, integration, and verification processes adhere to contractual obligations and deliverables (e.g., SOWs, CDRLs).
- Engineering Coordination: Coordinate daily activities across systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to maintain momentum and ensure milestones meet the established technical roadmap.
- Technical Reviews & Milestones: Lead the preparation for and presentation at key program reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR. Develop and communicate internal engineering execution plans.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing essential updates, managing technical requirements, and supporting validation activities.
- Testing & Delivery: Lead the technical setup and execution of integration plans, test events, and validation activities, including supporting final verification, acceptance, and formal sign-off.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify and manage technical risks that could impact scope or schedule. Provide critical engineering input for resource estimation and design change boards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Utilize engineering tools (like Jira/Confluence) for planning and tracking, and contribute technical data for program progress reporting.
Ideal Experience...
- 5 years of program or project management experience, specifically within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- A solid understanding of both the hardware and software development lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively translate customer requirements into actionable engineering work packages.
- Exceptional organizational, coordination, and communication skills, with the capability to successfully manage competing priorities across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Experience with the integration of complex systems, particularly related to avionics or mission systems on military platforms.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR) in high-reliability or defense applications.
- Experience involving head-mounted displays (HMDs) and their associated integration challenges.
This company may require a Security Clearance in the future so candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance!!
Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
