Hot Stamp Operator

Summary/Objective  

Perform repetitive operations to produce quality mud flaps with imprinted logos according to work instructions and production orders. 

Essential Functions

• Work safely and be actively engaged in site safety programs.
• Set up of hot stamp press line as required following printing instructions from work instructions, including dyes.
• Operation of “punch press” equipment to meet production goals.
• Requires the ability to use tape measure to verify dimensions of product for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Perform quality checks.
• Excellent attendance & punctuality.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities 

• Strong attention to detail to quality check own work.
• Able to read a tape measure to measure in feet and inches.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Self-motivated to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Work is performed in a factory setting.
• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Regular lifting, sometimes up to fifty pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Must wear gloves; eye and ear protection only in marked areas where required.

Preferred Education and Experience 

• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Experience working with stamping press a plus.
