About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hotel Renovation Project Manager to oversee renovation, conversion, and capital improvement projects across our hotel portfolio. This role is responsible not only for managing construction and PIP execution, but also for hiring, leading, and supervising project teams to ensure high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of hotel renovation projects from planning to close‑out
- Hire, onboard, and supervise project staff, contractors, and subcontractors
- Provide daily leadership, direction, and performance oversight for all on‑site teams
- Review PIPs, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and prepare modification/waiver requests
- Develop project schedules, phasing plans, and timelines
- Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and vendors
- Oversee FF&E/OS&E procurement, delivery, and installation
- Monitor budgets, bids, change orders, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, ADA, and local building codes
- Conduct regular site visits to track progress, quality, and safety
- Communicate project updates to ownership, brand partners, and property teams
- Collaborate with hotel operations to minimize guest and staff disruption
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 3–7 years of experience in hotel renovation or commercial construction
- Proven experience hiring, managing, and evaluating construction or renovation teams
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and brand standards
- Experience with major hotel brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Wyndham, Choice, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different states
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and vendor‑management skills
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
