As a key leader on-site, you will oversee daily operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Your expertise will help create exceptional guest experiences through meticulous planning and hands-on supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of hotel renovation projects, including demolition, construction, finishing, and quality control.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide onsite activities effectively.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools to track progress and adjust plans proactively.
- Oversee safety compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting regular safety inspections on-site.
- Monitor project budgets, perform cost estimations using HeavyBid or comparable software, and manage procurement processes.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure work meets specifications, schematics, and industry standards.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and construction management software for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Supervise onsite teams by providing clear direction, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to contracts, timelines, and safety protocols while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on hotel or commercial renovation projects.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera for project scheduling and documentation.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, budgeting, and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices specific to construction sites.
- Ability to operate technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members.
- Construction site experience in hotel renovations or similar commercial projects is highly preferred.
