Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of hotel revenue data, including occupancy rates, average daily rates (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and other key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies by analyzing market conditions, competitor performance, and booking patterns to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue goals with business objectives.
- Utilize advanced financial software and tools such as Bloomberg or similar platforms to monitor market trends and support decision-making processes.
- Perform risk analysis related to revenue fluctuations, market volatility, and operational changes to inform strategic planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management that highlight revenue performance, forecast accuracy, and growth opportunities.
- Support cash management activities by analyzing cash flow patterns related to hotel operations and investments.
- Assist in portfolio management tasks by evaluating asset performance, conducting underwriting for potential acquisitions or dispositions, and supporting investment management initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of financial concepts including investment management, private equity, wealth management, and technical accounting principles relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Engage in research on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes impacting hotel revenues.
- Build effective relationship management with internal teams and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and strategic alignment.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial analysis within the hospitality industry or related sectors such as investment banking or asset management.
- Strong background in credit analysis, risk management, and financial concepts including underwriting, tax law (wills, trusts & estate law), and financial planning.
- Familiarity with financial software tools such as Bloomberg or equivalent platforms; proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Knowledge of private equity investments, portfolio management strategies, and cash flow analysis is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights for decision-making.
- Excellent math skills combined with a solid understanding of accounting principles and technical accounting practices.
- Prior experience with research methodologies related to market trends and industry benchmarks.
