What you will be doing
The Unit Manager plays a vital leadership role, helping to plan, organize, and elevate the day-to-day delivery of exceptional nursing care within the assigned unit. As a Unit Manager, you’ll ensure high-quality services by assessing resident needs, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating medical and medication management, and guiding staff to perform at their best. This position also oversees staff scheduling, directs daily workflows, conducts performance evaluations, supports new staff orientation, and addresses concerns from employees, residents, and families with professionalism and compassion.
In this dynamic role, the Unit Manager actively contributes to resident care initiatives such as infection control, fall prevention, wound care, and incident analysis to maintain full regulatory compliance. - Licensed RN or LPN in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living setting.
- Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience with care planning, medication administration, and resident assessments.
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations related to nursing care and resident services.
- Experience in managing teams, handling staff scheduling, and overseeing daily operations in a nursing unit.
