What you will be doing
The Medication Assistant oversees and coordinates medication administration and basic care services during each shift, ensuring residents receive safe, accurate, and timely care. This role is responsible for the proper handling, storage, administration, and discontinuation of medications, including oral and subcutaneous medications, with intramuscular injections administered when appropriately trained and accredited. All medication practices are carried out in strict accordance with the Rights of Medication Administration and organizational standards.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Medication Assistant delivers exceptional hospitality and customer service while fostering positive, respectful communication with residents, families, and care team members. This position also supports resident move-ins by coordinating and verifying required medication documentation to ensure a smooth and compliant transition into care.

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Succesful completion of HCK Medication Assistant Training Program.
- CPR Certified (or within 6 months of hire).
