Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead new equipment design, installation, and process improvement projects at their South Carolina facility.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll take full ownership of mechanical design projects from concept through startup — working closely with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and mechanical systems for production operations.
- Oversee equipment installation, testing, and startup while ensuring design intent and performance goals are met.
- Lead tooling and fixture design initiatives with attention to precision and manufacturability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues.
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to support fabrication, documentation, and training.
- Utilize structured problem-solving tools such as PFMEA, SPC, and GR&R to improve process capability and quality outcomes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- 10 years of experience in mechanical design, equipment engineering, or process development.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (assemblies, parts, and detailed drawings).
- Proven success designing, fabricating, and launching high-speed or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong foundation in tooling and fixture design, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead technical projects independently.
- Willingness to travel periodically for project-related installations or support.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
