Residential Sales Representative
(Residential Door Industry Preferred)
Location: Asheville, NC
Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 base Commission
OTE: Up to $150,000
Position Overview
Our client, a leading provider in residential door and access solutions, is seeking a Residential Sales Representative to support continued growth in the Asheville market.
This role is ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional with strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and a proven ability to close business in a residential or home services environment.
This is a unique opportunity to step into an established territory, with direct cross-training from a tenured salesperson retiring in early 2027—allowing for a smooth transition and long-term success.
What You’ll Do
- Spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with homeowners and customers
- Conduct on-site estimates for service, remodels, and new installations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, upgrades, and solutions
- Verify materials and ensure accuracy of residential orders
- Manage your territory and sales pipeline to drive consistent revenue growth
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in residential sales (home services, construction, or related industry preferred)
- Door industry experience strongly preferred (installation, service, or product knowledge)
- Proven ability to build relationships and close sales in both in-person and phone settings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand product applications
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Key Qualifications
- 2 years of successful residential sales experience
- 5 years of inside sales or customer service experience preferred
- 1 year of B2B sales experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
