Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and elevate quality systems within a high-performance manufacturing environment. This individual will take ownership of quality strategy, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring products consistently meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate at both a strategic and tactical level—driving accountability on the floor while building scalable quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the quality function across the facility
- Oversee and maintain compliance with applicable standards (ISO, SQF, etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process efficiency
- Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Manage internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
- Establish and track KPIs related to quality performance
- Develop and mentor quality team members
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant field
- Strong leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment
- Background in food, beverage, industrial, or pharmaceutical packaging
- Experience with extrusion (blown or sheet) and/or converting strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485
- SQF, Kosher, or IMS systems (nice to have)
- Proven ability to implement and improve quality systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
