Process Technician – Injection Molding
Location: Thomson, GA
Compensation: $23-$25/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Day Shift or Night Shift Available

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support daily production within a growing plastics manufacturing operation. This hands-on role is responsible for machine setup, mold changes, process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient production while ensuring the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical injection molding experience who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a direct impact on production performance.
What You'll Do
- Set up, start up, and shut down injection molding presses
- Perform mold changes and verify proper machine setup
- Monitor production and troubleshoot molding defects including flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and dimensional issues
- Optimize machine parameters and cycle times to maximize efficiency and product quality
- Perform first article inspections and support quality approval before production runs
- Set up and operate auxiliary equipment including dryers, temperature controllers, material loaders, conveyors, and granulators
- Perform basic mold preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
- Document process changes and communicate equipment or tooling concerns
- Support new product launches, material changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of injection molding experience in a Process Technician or similar role preferred
- Candidates with 1–2 years of mold setup experience and strong technical aptitude may also be considered
- Experience performing mold changes and machine setup
- Strong troubleshooting skills with injection molding processes and part quality issues
- Experience operating auxiliary molding equipment
- Ability to read process documentation, work instructions, and quality specifications
- Forklift experience or ability to become certified
- Basic mold maintenance experience is a plus
- Experience with scientific molding, hot runner systems, or ISO-controlled manufacturing environments is a plus
