Position: Quality Control Technician
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 /hourly
Location: Tracy, CA
Schedule: Training on 1st Shift (first month), Transition to Swing Shift after training
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance operations in a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving quality control systems to ensure compliance with company standards and USDA regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, and able to collaborate across departments while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect facility and equipment prior to production start
- Conduct ATP and environmental swabbing to monitor sanitation and bacteria levels
- Calibrate thermometers and maintain accuracy of measurement tools
- Perform N60 testing and GMP inspections
- Record Critical Control Point (CCP) temperature data
- Complete daily quality control checklists for all products
- Utilize systems such as Alchemy, SOPs, and Microsoft Office tools
- Assist in maintaining BRC standards and support third-party audits
- Monitor employee compliance with quality and safety procedures
- Follow all safety protocols and Job Hazard Analysis guidelines
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Identify and report potential issues and recommend solutions
- Support additional projects and departmental tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and quality control processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
