Position Overview
The Sales Coordinator will support the growth and success of our paving/concrete Sales Team through a variety of duties and responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to learn the paving/construction sales industry, gain technical knowledge and grow into a senior sales role. This role will be a field/office hybrid model based on daily needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Must possess a team first attitude.
• Assist in preparing bids (data entry), estimates, and proposals for paving and asphalt projects.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate project needs and gather information for sales presentations.
• Assist in property assessments, customer follow ups and miscellaneous job duties to close business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, property managers, and local government contacts with direction from Sales Director.
• Maintain a regular call cycle and document all sales activities in the CRM system.
• Support senior sales staff in closing deals and managing key accounts.
• Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings to promote company offerings.
• Collaborate with operations and estimating teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product advancements.
Qualifications & Skills
• High school diploma required; college degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales or construction (paving, asphalt, or materials industry experience a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and estimating is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as required.
