Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories.
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and laboratory testing to support clinical decision-making.
- Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as trauma, cardiac conditions, infectious diseases, or behavioral health issues.
- Manage airway interventions, ventilator support, tube feedings, wound suturing, ostomy care, and other advanced procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of practice with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures such as catheterization (urinary or cardiac), phlebotomy, IV insertion, and suturing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology principles, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding and documentation standards.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills combined with a proactive approach to patient assessment and safety protocols.
