Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Rocky Hill, CT 06067
Facility: Rocky Hill Veterans Hospital
Duration: Approximately 3-Month Contract
Schedule: Every Other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Hours: 25 Hours Every Other Week
Interview Dates: Week of June 22
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the VA at Rocky Hill Veterans Hospital. This contract opportunity is ideal for an LPN who is passionate about providing quality care to veterans in a collaborative clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or healthcare provider.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition to the clinical team.
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility guidelines.
- Provide compassionate care and support to veteran patients.
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut LPN license in good standing.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Previous clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
- Reliable and committed to every-other-weekend coverage.
