What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Generalist position at Heart and Vascular Care Inc?
We are currently looking for a Medical Billing Generalist to join our medical office team!
HYBRID REMOTE work schedule after training.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, 401k, PTO, and holiday pay.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5, no nights, weekends, or major holidays.
The Medical Billing Generalist Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage Billing Phone Queue (Inbound & Outbound), answer patient questions and resolve patient concerns
- Manage correspondence between staff members and patients to provide solutions for billing questions, concerns, and/or needs
- Review, research, and advise claims and payment history for patients
- Independently comprehend, to provide explanation, status of accounts to include but not limited to balances, credits, and identifying inconsistencies
- Review and ensure patients are informed on their outstanding debts and estimates of patient responsibility prior to appointments
- Provide solutions to any relative problems of patients
- Collaborate with team members in assisting with payment plans for patients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Billing Specialist
- Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
- Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Results-driven and patient
- High degree of attention to detail
- Professional phone and interpersonal skills
