Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient med/surg setting, including telemetry when required
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects, ensuring accurate documentation
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as conditions change, and coordinate with the care team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, self-care, and discharge planning
- Promote a healing environment, infection prevention, and patient safety; participate in rounds and care coordination
Requirements
- NYS RN license (active)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work in an inpatient med/surg unit with telemetry monitoring
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
